This is a little dive into my marketing philosophy that I use in my own business. It really boils down to the one and only marketing funnel that I believe you need. Marketing and sales are the two key pieces to building your booked out coaching business, so you you have to bridge the gap between these and your idea for your coaching program.

When we talk about marketing, we’re talking about knowing where your ideal clients are and showing them that you are an authority figure in this space and someone they can trust. A marketing funnel is the way for a business owner to get in front of and then guide a customer through a buying process. You want to take them from complete strangers to people who are obsessed with your program.

So many people get tripped up on this marketing piece because they come up with an idea for their coaching business and then they start a blog and then a podcast and then get on Pinterest and Instagram and Facebook, and the list goes on. They start to get so overwhelmed with trying to keep up with everything and try all the strategies and still getting fractional results. You don’t have to do all the things, and actually you should be doing less than what you are doing!

The one marketing funnel that I teach in the Wealthy Coach Blueprint boils down to two main things: 1) getting in front of and having great conversations with people who actually are going to be perfect clients for you, and 2) creating amazing, action-oriented content. Conversations and content are all you need. It may not necessarily be easy, but it is so simple.

You don’t have to spend all this time reinventing the wheel, creating brand new content, or taking your content and creating a challenge or a freebie download. Honestly, you don’t even have to have a website. This all boils down to foundational business principles, and I teach this because it takes very little expenses and much less overwhelm.

You need to simplify. Do you research into who it is that you want to sell to and where they spend their time. Then create one high-value, high-touch program that hits the pain point of that person, and then create action-oriented content and put it in front of that person to start the conversation. Continue these great conversations with them and providing value to them, and they’ll absolutely want to start working with you.

The hardest part is staying focused and committed to this simple marketing funnel and not getting distracted by shiny object syndrome, but it works, it can be simple, and it doesn’t have to cost you a lot of money or overwhelm to build your booked out coaching business.
